We have relaunched INRFOOD to give people more control of their nutrition, beginning with a better understanding of what goes into today’s foods and how dietary decisions directly affect peoples’ health and wellness. With its assortment of new practical tools like calorie counting and ingredient analysis, the new, customizable free mobile app – available now on the App Store – is a big step in that direction. Dietary guidance too often focuses on calories or carbs to the exclusion of micronutrients and other ingredients that are just as, if not more important. INRFOOD makes deciphering all of these variables tremendously simple, bringing transparency to a complex topic. The INRFOOD app’s foundation is a growing database of over 750,000 foods and 15,000-plus ingredients. Unlike one-size-fits-all nutrition labels, the app creates unique labels based on individual preferences. An endurance athlete and an office worker will obviously have different needs. Simple color coding and personalized alerts based on specific ingredients are further examples of the app conforming itself to the user rather than the other way around. INRFOOD has been 2 years in the making; the development team’s vision is a nutrition solution for every possible scenario – athletes, pregnant women, vegetarians and vegans, and so on.
