Five Healthy Kid-Approved Snacks You Can Make in Minutes
Now that school’s back in session, creating kid-approved snacks in minutes is a necessity. After all, how else do you expect them to hit the books? Without the proper fuel, kids feel groggy, combatant, and confused. Before reaching for something pre-made, consider how easy it is to whip up a batch of delicious treats in no time.

Here are five healthy kid-approved snacks that you can make in minutes:

  1. Apple slices with nut butter. Purchase an apple slicer and prepare sliced apples in minutes. Serve with peanut butter, almond butter or cashew butter for a protein-packed treat kids love.
  2. Wheat crackers with pizza toppings. Skip the dough and opt for whole wheat crackers to make crusts for your mini pizzas. Allow your children to customize their snack with veggies, lean meats, and fat-free cheese. Sprinkle a little Italian seasoning on top and watch your kids devour their snack.
  3. Veggie chips. Dust off the dehydrator and slice up tomatoes, carrots, zucchini, and sweet potatoes to put in it. Follow the machine’s instructions and serve up a handful of veggie chips in place of potato chips when your kid requests them.
  4. Nut butter and jelly roll up. Take a whole wheat tortilla and spread a healthy amount of nut butter and jelly on it. Roll it up and serve it with a cup of milk or nut milk for a snack that energizes.
  5. Seasoned popcorn. Skip the butter and decide on a sweet or savory flavor combination that wows the taste buds. Popcorn is packed with fiber which aids digestion.
